New Jersey To Get NYX Gaming Content

Online casino operator Betfair has signed a lucrative new deal with NYX Gaming to provide additional content for their New Jersey facing business. New Jersey is one of only 4 states in the US that offers legal online gambling so this is an excellent opportunity for NYX to introduce an American audience to their product offerings.

Since it is still early days in the fight for legalised online gambling across the entire US, this deal could have wide reaching implications for both companies. One of the key foundational elements at play here is the fact that Betfair will be making use of NYX’s Open Games System software platform which allows for easy integration of third party titles and new content into operator’s platforms.

With this software in place it could give NYX a strong foothold in the US gaming industry. The exact details, time frames and implementation has not yet been revealed, or perhaps the two companies have not even ironed out these details. Game offerings planned for the initial launch would include slots, table games and more.

An Opportunity For Immense Growth

With New Jersey having signed a recent compact between themselves, Delaware and Nevada for an online Poker network, it is a strong possibility that there could be future deals for either Betfair or NYX which could lead to a very lucrative investment. US director for Betfair, Lorcan Kelly, said in response to the announcement that the agreement will allow the campaign to fulfil their strategic expansion goals. They will be able to greatly expand their US offerings with the great content that NYX can provide.

Matt Davey , CEO for NYX reiterated these sentiments and noted that this is a milestone moment for NYX. He also stated that NYX’s quality gaming content will offer reliability and choice to US players. He also said that thanks to the OGS platform services, NYX will continue their US expansion.

Legalised online gaming in the US is slowly on the rise with Pennsylvania recently marking themselves as the 4th state to legalise it. States are having a tough time suppressing the push for legal online gambling as state budgets are on the rise. Online gambling revenue promises to create additional funds that could plug holes in local budgets. With states like Pennsylvania having budget holes to plug to the tune of $2.2 billion, it simply does not make sense to block online gambling for the sake of protecting land based casinos.
